New Blog Format and GK07 in Progress

Ugh, the previous blog page format was awful, I hated having to edit two pages to give updates on my website so I condensed everything and previous blogs into 1 page. Hopefully, this means I will do more blog updates, yeah? ;D

In other news, Gerona 7 is finally making progress. I have been very lazy and distracted with other things like the Sketchbook and gaming. This story will revolve around Tank so I can start telling his stories as Sara joins him too. These two are Wingpups, dog creatures with wings. Sara is delicate and professional as she is a simple office worker on a business trip while Tank is a bounty hunter, looking to capture criminals with bounties on their heads to make money. Sara comes across trouble...and a criminal with a bounty on him but Tank is already on the scene!
I will give more details on the story as I go. I still plan to get the first 5 pages uploaded soon now that a bunch of obligations are over done with.

Another thing I would like to do is have some more OC profiles, even if they are not in the manga series yet, their stories can be told via text. Cheng is up first as he has an entire back story about how he met his wife and the hardships he faced being in an unfamiliar place while being indebted to someone. Caleb has a page up, I have been writing a story about him in a physical book format as well as some lore about Gerona itself and a special soul duo that keeps evil at bay, the backstory about them are in progress too. I have thought a lot about it and want to establish it on the site at some point but GK07 is taking priority. The book as well is a first draft as there are some inaccuracies and missing details that need to be ironed out.
Too bad, The King of Gerona makes an appearance too, you would get to see him.

About my sketchbook though, I only have 7 pages left including a double spread page that I have started. The next picture is a double spread featuring Liam and Fiona with the lyrics from the song American Boy by Estelle as I imagine the two when I hear the song as Liam is American and Fiona is British. It fits them greatly! As well, I want to use up my stickers and paper so I can print out more resources. I don't want to accumulate, I want to use what I have collected and only print out more when I have ran out or really need a particular pattern, I found a bunch of free resources that I want to try out and use for my sketchbook. I best get to work then, innit? ;D

Gerona 6 complete and art rambles

I can never be bothered to do these blogs because it's such a pain in the arse to edit two pages.

Anyways, I have been concentrating primarily on my sketchbooks. I talk about it in my last blog, my last page being 47 but I recently finished 73 but there's 111 pages in my Fan Art book too so I haven't been slacking off...all that much. For the GK sketchbook, that is 18 blank pages away from completion. Not sure what to do to fill in the rest, just carry on doodling, I guess. =)

And I can't believe that I haven't at least announced the completion of Gerona Chapter 6. Rhode and gang get up to some wild wild trouble as they film the next segment of The Comedy Show.

Thanks to my sketchbooks being more fun to work on, I have done 0 work on Gerona 7 but if I can at least get the first 5 pages ready for upload, I can at least get it started as there are some stories I want to tell still.

As well behind the scene, I have been thinking of doing what I call the New Testament of my childhood book about my OCs, the New Testament being the updated information and canonical stuff. I have a story that is in a book but I have been lazy with that too as it will involve another comic art format and it is about some loosely tied together stories starting with how Gerona was founded moving onto Caleb on a mission to help save someone from being killed and what happens after he finds out there is a huge problem. I will not say yet, I might upload it on my site one day, dunno as it is just a first draft if anything to build upon.

In personal news, I finally painted my bedroom walls and now my room feels like a room and not a crack den, ha ha!

As well, I used to be in a sticker club and I left because I got a sticker that made me really displeased. I would love to run my own sticker club and make cool stickers instead of cutesy ones (as if they are rare or something, ha ha!). I have made another sticker since this photo. Even so, there is no way I can share with people because in my life are either not arty or do not do stickers.
And I don't think I would dares to do sticker sheets, those ones in the picture aren't even cut out as my craft knife is too dull for something like them. Though if I was to do sticker sheets, I would pick cooler characters to make for them. Rhode needs some sticker art though, I haven't made any for him yet, how criminal!

Gerona 6 first 5 pages done

Woo! I finally made it to 5 pages complete for the next issue of Gerona Kingdom 6! Note to self, don't try to traditionally colour everything in, it's too much for me. XD
This story will be Rhode's second chapter, this is about him doing a cowboy themed comedy skit for the show but it takes a dark turn...what happens? I still need to draw that out so stick around if you wish to find out. Follow my neocities page if you wish to be updated as soon as it goes up. The next update will be up to page 10.

I've still got work for tomorrow and my belly and back still hurts from this week. Plus, I've been having a very sporadic sleep pattern so manga production might be a bit slow. But now that I'm all caught up since starting this in July 2025, I would like to get a move-on with this and get it done. Afterwards, I want there to be another entry for the Twiggle Pets series, there's some world-building I want to expand upon as well as some character development with Rabbiko, she needs more of the spotlight on her.

Other than that, my sketchbook has been coming along nicely. I've finally finished off Page 33 and Page 47. Once I get pages 32-51 all done, I plan to do another Sketchbook tour for my YouTube channel. My other one has completely flatlined but I would like to get another video out then do another tour at Page 75 and a Grand Tour once the book is 100% complete. I want to yap about my OCs. I do have a big scrapbook full of my old drawings, I want to yap about that but there are some spoilers that's still canonically true and will have to cover up all of the spoilers. Annoying!

Gerona 6 in Progress

I have had one heck of a hectic Christmas period. Work was so busy and I've been really lazy in turn.
Plus, I hate making these blog posts, it's too much work compared to how I used to do it on Wordpress.

In regards to Gerona #6, I was going to do it in colour entirely on paper but I do not like how much work it is, I'll do full rendering for illustrations but not drawing the same few characters and backgrounds over and over, nah ah!
For the past few hours before this post, I've been manually tracing over the work I've done so far so it can be digitised and the rest of the pages can be drawn on paper once again. I really want to get over my laziness but the long nights have been making me extra tired.

Not all my time has been spent being lazy, in fact, I finally finished two pages that I have had a plan for since August 2025 and I finally got round to finishing it. The main reasons are 1) Gloria needed a new design and 2) Santino needed to be designed.
They're my two Italian characters. The postcards were given by an ATC group leader who is from Italy herself and it's funny because I've been to Rome myself days before receiving the letter. XD
Gloria has some backstory but Santino only has a paragraph of character development. He interacts with my German OC: Arman along with his teammates: Joyelle and Armano (might be renamed) and the four of them causes a lot of trouble.

I really wish that I have my camera working. For ages now, I've been itching to make some sketchbook inspiration videos so those that want to make more art in their sketchbooks can look at my videos for some ideas. I have thought of things such as listening to music and drawing what comes to mind. I have done that myself but the page is currently incomplete, it needs a little bit more line art and then the colouring. Think I will use my felt tip pens so I don't have to do another collage page to cover up the ugliness of bleedthru.

Post Con Update!

I've been in the house by myself for nearly a week now as my friend has gone on holiday and I am offering to parrot-sit. Instead of a load of drawing, I have been doing a load of cooking as I keep getting unsolicited comments whenever I even so much as make toast! I've been enjoying the judgeless cooking, making myself cottage pie, lasange, spag bol sauce and cookies. I'm hoping to make corned beef hash today for dinner as one last recipe to try before my friend comes back possibly tomorrow? Dunno, didn't ask.

Before she went on holiday though, I went to Leicester Comic Con and Toy Fair which overall was alright. I did make my table back but it was very underwhelming and there were too many kids there as they're not drawn to my art all that much. I was hoping to reach the older demographic that fondly remembers the PS1 era as I've made the PS1 character set. And for some reason, the parents were not buying anything, I even made the table presentable for kids and adults but the corners of my table were ignored which is a shame as my Minecraft stickers took up way too much space.

The stickers are still available on my Ko-fi shop if you would like to help yourself to some new additions.

I was going to record myself doing some drawing for YT but my GoPro is bricked and won't even turn on! That thing cost me £300!! WHY IS IT NOT EVEN CHARGING?!! I hate stupid technology and the government want us to be completely surrounded by it. I spit on technology!

After fiddling with the camera for a bit, the battery seems to be faulty but I've spent this month's spendo money so it will have to wait. >=(

New merch on the way soon

The last blog, I talked about Inktober and getting more art for my OCs but I have done a really long procrastination session with the PS1 nostalgia sticker set I want to do for it. I haven't done merch design in ages so I have been feeling really out of the flow.

I have completed four PS1 character designs but then I realised that my PS1 hero: Spyro hasn't been drawn! It'll be criminal to not include him! I haven't done the design as of typing but there are some errands and chores that need to be done today. My room is an absolute pig sty because my friend is sorting out the seal with my window so I cleared the way for her but before putting all the stuff back, I want to rearrange it so I can move my retro consoles out from under my desk and out into the open so I can be bothered to play on them.

The convention runs on Sunday and I'm making Friday the sticker prep day. Get them all printed and cut out as it's too late for them to be professionally printed. Saturday will be the packing day so all I need to do on Sunday is to grab the trolley and go.

I am feeling a little anxious about it, the economy isn't so great at the moment (when was the last time it was good?) so visitors might be more tight with their money and prioritise other things. Because nostalgia is "the thing" right now, there might be some that get tempted into buying a sticker or two. Plus, if other vendors are not selling the characters I am offering, fans of said character would like to buy my sticker. I have had it in the past where a customer saw my Kollector badge and she was amazed that someone was selling a badge of him so she bought it. Having niches like that can help you out sometimes.

Inktober starts now!

Inktober has started now and I plan to get more pictures of my OCs done and break in the new markers. Unfortunately, I'm off to a bad start as I fell asleep at 8pm but I'm awake at nearly 4am doing some sticker art for an upcoming event but I don't want to do that! I don't do sticker designs anymore since I left Etsy and I want my art style be consistent with each other so I can't change what I'm doing.

For the update, I'm doing some UK patriot stuff with Sonic (as shown above), Pikachu and Yoshi then a set of PS1 nostalgia characters and if I have the time, some gaming stickers like supporting indie games, going through the backlog and emulation is 100% OK. =)
Would be nice to get some more animal stickers in but I've got some notes and sketches in my business planning book so they are on the backburner right now.

On a more personal ramble, I've been experiencing the old-fashioned sleep cycle that is the Victorian sleep schedule. I'd spend a few hours sleeping, wake up in the middle of the night for a few hours and sleep until 9am. It's weird but I am in the process of doing something useful during this time of night so I'm not wasting it doing nothing useful. Though as I'm typing, I am getting more tired so I might go bed soon.

One more thing, I finished the picture mentioned in the other blog and even though it has turned out slightly different than how I envisioned it, it still looks really good! If you would like to see more of my drawings, I have my Sketchbook 2025 Gallery here.

Autumn approaching.

I've been doing more sketchbook drawing and I'm glad I've picked it up, I'm on page 23 now, don't know how many pages in total but progress is good! The pictures above are the latest entries. I haven't drawn much of these characters lately so it's nice to get them on paper. I've drawn Megan's icon but not her whole body yet. I got a half body drawing in, at least. I don't like her clothes in this drawing very much so I'll be changing it up to look less whore-ish. Human EBJr on the other hand is always a little cutey! He's been drawn in his Tomodachi Life appearance as I obviously can't recreate his look in that game. He does have a Miitopia appearence but I haven't drawn it yet.

I still need to replace my marker pens but I'm feeling lazy but I want to finish off some art with some fresh markersssssss! After typing that up, I finally ordered some markers but I had to switch brands as Arteza isn't in stock at the moment so I went with Ohuhu. I had to find a set that had the appropriate colours as they looked really pastel-ly and lacking in my important colours. As well, they won't be fine+chisel anymore as the best colour set swapped the chisel for the brush tip. I don't care much for brush tips but maybe this will change my mind?

With autumn on it's way, I'm looking forward to the days where the comforting chill is in the air and I put on my jumper to stay nice and warm. I was going to do some blackberry picking again for the last time of the year but as I can't cook at home in peace, I instead asked my friend if I could use her kitchen and make some dinner portions and she said yes so I spent my Friday afternoon cooking up some home-made pizzas, sausage rolls and cookies so the first two items can be put in the freezer. I've still got lots of leftover cheese and the primitive bread recipe worked like an absolute charm for the pizza bases (literally flour and water). I did put too much pepper in one of the pizza mix and it realy burned my mouth when I ate it. XD

My next goal is to learn to make food that leaves a lot of portions to go straight into the freezer. Unfortunately, my shelves in the freeze has icebergs on top AND bottom of it so I have limitied space in there! I want to use up the rest of the frozen chicken by making stir fry again and I hope it'll turn out much better this time, I have difficulty balancing the right amount of soy sauce and corn flour to make it the right consistencey. I'm hoping my friend will go on holiday soon, I swear I remember her telling me she's going away in October or something but I don't know.

Summer is OVER!

I've done everything for the summer now, it's all done! All that needs to be done now is enjoy the last of the heat before the DAMN NOISY NEIGHBOURS go back inside and then I can have autumn peace.

From the 25th July-2nd of August, I was on holiday to Bulgaria and then on the 17th-21st August, I was at Rome, Italy. Don't go on two holidays so close to each other especially ones that involve going on a plane. -_-
I'm completely knackered and I'm so glad to be home, surrounded by my stuff and go back to hearing Polish with a pinch of English in the streets...ehh, I miss Italian ramblings in that case. XD

Other than that, I've been getting back to work on GK 6 but a lot of important colour markers have died out and that includes the base colour for Rhode! NOOO!!! I plan to donate the box of pens to a youth arts group so I can buy myself a new, smaller set with my most used colours in it as I haven't used a good chunk of the 148 pens I have now, might as well downsize and make more space for my TV screen on my desk.

The sketch stage is being worked on at the very least so once I get the pen situation sorted, I can get the new set, do the line art and post some completed pages when I get round to it. I've got one complete page but I'm not going to create the new page until the first 5 pages are done, don't want a dud of a chapter.

I've been gaining some art inspiration while in Italy so I can make some nicer pieces in regards to Gerona's religion: Ascension. The inside of the Vatican is so palace-like and if I was Christian, I'd feel like I've walked into heaven. Everything was so holy, beautiful and so full of love, it's staggering! Even a random church my friend and I walked into had such heavenly art and decoration! Then it got ruined by Instagram whores who used the church as a backdrop for their OF front-end pages.

Any Christian, doesn't matter what sect (except the Modern ones) would find a great deal of joy going around the Italian churches. Heck, even a train station we walked through had a chapel people can pop in to pray! I'm so jealous! ^ ^'

Artfight is done.

Because my holiday is coming up soon, I want there to be no backlog of art I need to do so once I check notifications tomorrow morning after waking up and there's no Attacks to Revenge against, I'm 100% done with Artfight for the year and announcing my closed status.

Right now, it's the evening before tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath for an Attack. I've been thinking of banning Mass Attacks because a lot of them are just a big blob of characters in an ambiguous space and one of the ones I got was point farming by putting it in the wrong category. I don't like them in my honest opinion. Once the event is over, I plan to do a gallery page showcasing my favourite Attacks for each year, maybe you can get your art in? Don't hold your breath though. ^w^

After finishing all of the cards, I started a sketchbook so I can get some quick drawings in. I was inspired by Pikarar after she did her sketchbook tour videos, showing what she's done and her sketch style is so retro, I wonder how much a sketch commission would be? I'd love to see one of my OCs in her 2000s style. If I ever make any significant progress, I'd make a gallery page showing all of my drawings. Unlike Pikarar's sketchbook, mine isn't bleed-proof so I can't do marker pen drawings unless I plan around that by voiding the page on the other side.

The goal is not only to draw more pictures of my OCs (it will be an OC only sketchbook) but to use up some of my stationary too as I have too many washi tapes (despite buying 40 of them recently but shhh!) especially washis of the same colour, I want some other styles as well. I plan to experiment with some scrapbooking elements and see how that looks. I can't do the colour block techniques Pikarar used in her work so I have to resort to other means. Plus, I can do other experimental ideas too.

ArtFight is near and website work

I've done more progress with my main site, finally. I've utilised the side bars to have the icons of the characters that appear in the Chapter so those interested can jump straight to their profiles and learn more about the character in question. It's not 100% done yet as I want to add in a gallery section to display art of the character.

The Clip files for Twiggle Pets 6 is ready and as I'm off work tomorrow, I plan to do the screentones then after a gaming sesh of Metal Gear Solid 4 (I'm tryign to get the end fight with Ocelot for the Trophy). Once that's done, I'll start work on a one-off Chapter to experiment with doing the art in coloured marker pens rather than B&W mixed media. Honestly, I don't enjoy it as much and I think it makes my art look worse so I want to give it a go in a one-off in case I don't want to do it that way.

The problem is that if I do another compilation book with Lulu, the price of printing the book will go up expenentially but I only do that to have back-up copies of my work in case the originals or digital media is lost. Plus, I like to read it as I am quite proud of my work. >w<

As well, ArtFight is only round the corner and there's finally a Team Theme announcment but it will be revealed on 22nd June at 9pm my time. I think I'll watch it just to know the team themes ahead of time or maybe watch more of the livestream if it's not cringe. As I'll be participating in the event, I've been doing more reference sheets, profile polishing and blocking profiles I don't want attacking me, mainly ugly art styles or those that hide older art behind thumbanils because it's so shameful and unfair on me who wants the art to be seen. If I've uploaded art that the artist has retroactively hidden, I'll take down from my gallery so you can't be linked back from my website. 💅

On a cheerier note, I completed an ACEO trade then it made me remember that I need to do the ACEO page to showcase my ACEOs. DX

Twiggle Pets Chapter 7 lines done!

HTML is a pain to do and I've been doing nonstop work on the manga as well as getting through Pokemon Shining Pearl so I can get the Pokedex registered on Pokemon Home (still need BD Dialga) and now I'm currently hooked on LoZ Tears of the Kingdom. I've made myself an Amiibo cheat sheet so I can get the daily freebies.

I hate using the HTML editor on mobile as it keeps screwing up how its typed so I don't do any work on my tablet and I havet touched my PC in a long while but since I'm an hour or two away from completing the line art of Twiggle Pets chapter 7, I will boot up my PC then format this blog properly and add it to the entry page.

I'm on my PC now. As I planned to scan the pages of TP7, Mum found a bag containing a bunch of old old drawings and I feel compelled to scan them all now. Some of them are from 2008 while a particular book is from 2011-2013 which is full of the Pokemon Trainer versions of my OCs but I don't really care about them as the drawings are pretty bad and uninteresting, especially because I couldn't draw Pokemon very well and a lot of them aren't coloured in. Plus, there's a whole bunch of MLP doodles in there too. If I never scanned them and the physical versions are lost, I wouldn't care in the slightest, they're not being preserved, just for as long as my memory of them will last...plus, this blog entry mentioning their existences.

Cel animation completed!

The cel animation that I've slowly worked on for ages is now done! I spent an hour photographing all of the cels in their proper sequence and about another hour compiling it all into a video with sound.

Don't know when the next cel animation would ever come about as this was a monumental task as it was plus, I'll need storage space for the cels and I want to deplete what junk I've accumilated.
I do want to make another animation that tells a story of rhode and friends getting into some drama for The Comedy Show but I'm not sure which program to use. The only animation program I know how to use is Macromedia Flash 8 but that's not really powerful but I might not really have a choice at this point. The goal is to make a VHS tape with some animations and fake TV ads plus bumpers to make it seem like a 90s/early 2000s children's channel. For my personal copy, I want to add some animations from small channels that can match the mood as well. I don't think it'll be a product for sale, maybe I'll charge interested parties the costs and have it sent to the individual instead of getting involved on my end.
Dunno.

Other than that, I've just been out and about with my best friend to walk around some patches of forests across the city. We saw some wild garlic but we left it alone as they were in bad condition and I wasn't prepared to take any.

Cooking more food

Today, I did try that lentil patty recipe I talked about in the previous blog. Took me ages as I had to wizz up the lentils in three sections as my food processor isn't big enough for the entire recipe.

After frying up the first batch, I put them into some buns and took a bite. "Hmm, it almost has a meat-like taste" but then I had a bit of carrot or lentil that wasn't cut up and got rid of that 1% chance to give meat alternatives a go.

The more I kept eating though, the more I was put-off from it and I think because the centre wasn't cooked throughly and it's texture put me off so much and then there's the problem after eating, my belly began to feel funny like a bellyache was coming on. I even finished off my apetite with a pancake for pudding but it tasted nasty and it was the exact same pancake I had for breakfast this morning! What did the lentils do to my taste buds?!

The rest of the mix is in a bag (couldn't cook it all as I got bossed out of the kitchen again) and the ready-cooked patties are in the freezer. I'll give the frozen ones an extra chance to see if cooking it again would help get through to the centre. Even as of typing this, my belly still feels unpleasant and I kinda regret trying them.

Other than that, I have been playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team and Explorers of Sky again after so long away from last playing them. I tried Purity Forest on BRT but didn't last very long, heh heh. I really want to try and get to the end as I once watched a guy try to complete Purity Forest with as many Pokemon as possible. I want Qwilfish to get the honour of reaching to the top cuz he's my favourite. =)
On EoS, I've just been resuming my recruit 'em all challenge and have made a few new entries. Still need the Link Cable item to get some trade evos but it's impossible to find!

Building the Website plus food

It has been one heck of a task, building not just one but two websites from scratch! I'm not used to doing things like this and it's such a learning experience. I've been using Wordpress since about 2020 or so to host my website and making a page is as easy as breathing. If anyone knows of any WYSIWYG type of HTML editing that's comparable to Wordpress, do let me know. I'm using Phoenix Code to get a live preview of my site but it doesn't have a building interface like with Toyhouse or something.

Other than that, I've still got art block and can't get over it so easily so I've been getting lazy with my story telling again. I've got the ideas but not the motivation. Heck, I finally sorted out the foot paws of Diego Claw's costume so I had one less thing cluttering my room (I left the foam in the parcel it came in) as I'm trying to open up more space in my bedroom as well.

Side tangent: I've been doing some cooking while I had the house to myself and made some really nice, a bit dry but I did have to make some adjustments to the recipe to make it work for me but I think I didn't include enough milk or water as I did add some water to make it more runny. I made 9 large oat pancakes that look nothing like the video's recipe but I'm still happy with them though. The oatcakes had a rather earthy taste to them and I imagined a kitchen witch adding a bunch of fruits and flowers to them to do some sort of food ritual.

If you're wondering, I watched a video that reminded me that modern pagans existed and then it popped into my mind as I was cooking, I remembered about kitchen witches. I think if I'd become a full-fledged witch, it'll either be a Green Witch or a Kitchen Witch. Probably a Green Witch as I can't use the kitchen without judgement in this house!! Let me cook in peace! I watched some kitchen witch recipes and they use a lot of fruits and flowers in their recipes, I only saw one recipe I'd be willing to try (couldn't find the video but it was in one of these types of compilations).

OK, that wasn't a side tangent at all. XD

I've been very interested in cooking as of late, trying to eat more healthy and eat less processed stuff and I do feel a bit better like for instance, my face and hair are a lot less greasy, I've been getting out of bed earlier and my arms have been getting more muscle on them (not stronger, most likely just simply toned) and I've saved more money from not ordering food often. There's another recipe I want to try but since I can't use the kitchen without a Nosey Rosie barging in and there's a long step to it, I'm a bit hesitant to try it.

Cel animation in progress!

Currently, I've been doing some testing with my cel animation to see how it looks before the part I need arrives. It looks fine, bit jittery due to not being stuck down but it does seem like I'm missing a couple frames which I'll take a look at later (it's past my bed time right now).

The animation itself is only about 10-15 seconds but for Rhode alone, it's taking 37 cel drawings plus the ones I need to add in later. *sigh*
I haven't counted all of the cels yet but I'm willing to bet it's past 60 right now as the piona and chair has 9 cels each (+18=55) plus 11 for Owler= 66. So yeah, it's over 60 just for 10 seconds worth of animation! It makes me really appreciate old anime and cartoons.

Once the whole thing is done, I plan to post it onto YouTube after adding some sounds. I want to do a proper animated story using this technique but it'll most definitely take up a ton of space in my room and I'm currently trying to downsize what I've got. Unless you want to take some cels off my hands or a bunch of my art stock goes, I'm not going to do the full animation yet.

Oh and I'm gonna do some work to make the side bar of the normal site consistent as I just copy and pasted the code manually into each page which is dumbdumb. The blog section is made my PetraPixels and it's a lot more streamline than my other template as it comes with the necessary js script for the side bar. After I've done some other things, I'll look into it.
